Who we are

If you believe in the power of music, just like us, then you can find plenty of useful information on our website. We believe that music helps us to feed and soothe our souls. Music simultaneously stimulates different parts of our brain and improves dopamine and serotonin secretion, which helps to improve our mood and health. Due to all the above-mentioned reasons and the fact that the number of platforms that teach people how to play an instrument is quite low, we decided to launch this project. Our goal is to teach people how to play an instrument without any prior knowledge or expensive investments.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. We use cookies to do a number of things such as remember preferences, help process online donations, allow you to subscribe to our newsletters, and analyze your web page visits and activity to help us improve our programs based on your inferred interests. Cookies do not themselves store information that identifies you, but they are often used in a manner that they can be associated with you.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Managing Cookies

Internet browser settings will allow you to accept, reject, delete and otherwise manage cookies. You can find more information about this at www.allaboutcookies.org. You can also avoid receiving cookies by browsing our website using your browser’s anonymous usage setting (called “Incognito” in Chrome, “InPrivate” for Internet Explorer, and “Private Browsing” in Firefox and Safari). Blocking our strictly necessary cookies will prevent certain functions of our website from working properly or at all. In addition to managing Google Analytics by managing its cookies, you can deactivate Google Analytics by using a browser plug-in found at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Security of your information

We maintain reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

Changes to the Privacy Notice

We reserve the right to change, modify, add or remove portions of this notice from time to time and in our sole discretion, but will alert you that changes have been made by indicating on this notice the date it was last updated. When you visit our website, or provide us your personal information under circumstances covered by this notice, you are accepting the current version of this notice as posted at that time. We recommend that you revisit this notice on occasion to learn of any changes.
